Angel Prayer Network…

Hey Angels!

So this is an idea I’ve had for a while now and during our last company meeting we came up with the broad strokes of it.
So we’re going to start something called the Angels Prayer Network. If it works then we’ll keep doing it. Otherwise we’ll let it run for as long as it goes.
Basically, there are a lot of us.
We’re a community, of sorts.
We read the same books. We like a lot of the same things. Sure, we have differences. But at the end of the day, we’re all Naughty Angels.
But a lot of Naughty Angels have life happening. And sometimes those things that life tosses our way are just too much for one person to bear.
Sometimes its an illness. Sometimes its job loss. Sometimes its financial trouble. Sometimes its anxiety.
Whatever it is, sometimes what helps us find our way through the darkness is nothing more than…prayer.
If you don’t believe in prayer, then no worries. No one is forcing you to.
But if you do, and you would like to have all the Angels pray for you for whatever you’re going through, then we’re going to do it so now you can.
Basically, (and we’ll streamline the infrastructure on this later) but for now there is a form that we will monitor and check.

Requests for prayers will go out every Sunday and be either posted on the blog and DLA, or just DLA, or just the blog depending on what you want.

You need only to share as much about yourself and your issues as you want. So if you want to use your name, or use a fake name, or not use a name at all or whatever its up to you. There is no qualification. If you’re not a member of DLA that’s fine. If you haven’t ever bought a book from the store, that’s fine. If you like Depressing Literary Fiction then 1) you should seriously try our books, but 2) you can still submit for prayers.

If there are a lot of prayer requests, we’ll go first come first served to make sure we get everyone. If we don’t get that many we’ll share what we have. If we stop getting requests then no worries either.

But the fact of the matter is, Angels, that we are all here for each other. Sure, we may be separated by vast distances. We may be all behind screens only brought together by the internet.

But we are something bigger when we work together. And prayer has helped so many people, including myself as well as the authors in the store. It’s something…rather than doing nothing.

If you have suggestions for how we can make it better, then I’m also willing to incorporate them into this. But I truly believe that this will be something to at least try and bring us all closer together.

To make us more into a family.

Because at the end of the day, that’s what we see the angels as. And that’s where we’re going.
